Founding
The Jedimu Elimu Trust was founded in 2020 in loving memory of our family Matriarch Mama Jedidah Muronji Bibi. The purpose of the trust is to support education and economic empowerment projects starting in Koros, Kolongolo, Keiyo and surrounding villages; and later extending across the county and country.

History
Mama Jedidah was a community organiser, teacher and fierce advocate of education, serving on the management board for several schools in the region. Thanks to her, we have all had incredible opportunities in life. We have been privileged enough to have access to good education and build our careers. Unfortunately, many of our friends and relatives with whom we grew up in the village have not

Goal And Purpose
Because of widespread material poverty in the villages, parents are not able to provide quality education even for the most brilliant children. As the founders of the Jedimu Elimu Trust have tried to support these families to pay school fees for their children from our own finances, but we realise that we need to do something bigger in order to make a difference. We also have valuable networks from our various careers, which we can leverage to hold the ladder up for those we left behind, and transform their lives for the better.
